First performance of the project Voi[e,x,s] Chapelle Charbon

Theatrum Mundi is excited to announce the first public iteration of the project Voi[e,x,s] Chapelle Charbon with a free public performance near Porte de la Chapelle in Paris’ 18th arrondissement. Emerging from a series of workshops held in Paris within the Sonic Urbanism project, Voi[e,x,s] is a major new musical work being created with the Chapelle Charbon site – a disused coal depot – by Cie MDPA, Marta Gentilucci, and Theatrum Mundi.

The final work will be performed in 2020, with the opening of the new park, but on 22nd and 23rd June we present a performance testing elements of the music, with local residents and performers from Compagnie Manque Pas d’Airs. It takes place in Collectif Chapelle Charbon’s ‘Parc des 12 saisons’, a temporary public space developed alongside Chapelle Charbon during its demolition and transition. Before and after the performance will be opportunities to visit the site in the last weeks before its demolition.
