Having grown and developed within LSE Cities, Theatrum Mundi is becoming a separate charitable organisation and will continue to run its programme of research, workshops, and public events independently of the university. Full details of the new charity and its upcoming programme and partnerships will be announced at the beginning of 2018.
In the meantime, we are recruiting for a researcher and a coordinator to join the team at our new offices in Somerset House. These are exciting opportunities to help deliver a programme of research and events addressing questions in urban culture, design and politics, by collaborating with our small team and wide network of built environment and arts practitioners.
The researcher will need to have a strong academic social science, arts, or humanities background, with a focus on innovative approaches to questions in contemporary culture and/or urbanism. The coordinator will need to be both practically and creatively minded, able to deliver high-quality projects while supporting a small organisation. Both roles are offered on a part-time (40% FTE) basis, to start in November 2017.
