What would it mean to invite true wildness into central urban public spaces? What solidarities can be forged between marginalised forms of both human and non-human life? How do they create spaces for flourishing, and transgression of the controls that urban regulation attempts to impose?

This second of three labs forming our Movement Forum project, will take place in Paris and focus on the theme of ‘Wildness and Queer Counter-Publics’.

We will collaborate over the two days with performer and activist Habibitch, Rosario Talevi of Soft Agency, and architecture collective à la sauvette, to explore choreographic and embodied approaches in relation to these questions through storytelling, voguing, walking and reading. The lab will be hosted by Plateau Urbain at their Opale site in Montreuil and venture into the Bois de Vincennes for a party in the woods.

Movement Forum is part of Future Architecture’s European Programme 2021. Curated by Fani Kostourou, John Bingham-Hall and Elahe Karimnia.
