It’s an exciting time for Theatrum Mundi. In 2021, the year before our 10th birthday, we’ve launched a new membership programme and a publishing platform, relaunched our website, and recruited three new trustees to join our board. We’re looking for an administrative assistant to support the day-to-day running of the charity.

As the administrative assistant you will be mainly assisting the studio manager, supporting them with the day-to-day running of the studio. You will have a regular working pattern and tasks, although they may vary depending on our activities. You will be based in our office in Clerkenwell. Remote working might be possible in accordance with sanitary guidance.

Main tasks:

  • Supporting general charity administration and activities;
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for the team;
  • Supporting publishing activities: contacting stockists, libraries, shipping publications, keeping stocks up to date, managing agreements;
  • Managing our online shop and shipping orders;
  • Supporting bookkeeping: processing invoices and filing receipts on our bookkeeping software;
  • Supporting communications: formatting and editing images and documents for social media and the website.

We are looking for someone at the early stage of their career, who is organised, meticulous, keen to learn and support others. Interests in arts and/or architecture would be beneficial. Some experience in general administrative tasks and basic office software packages would be essential. Knowledge of Quickbooks or similar bookkeeping package and/or sales within a bookshop, independent publisher or a cultural organisation would be ideal, but not essential as training will be provided. We would expect proficiency in spoken and written English.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
