Theo Turpin presents his research and thinking around the idea of contemporary art as a form of ‘transmedia storytelling’ in which the various manifestations of an artists’ practice can be seen as multiple storied realisations, in which the practice is understood as an act of world building.
He looks at how a ‘storied’ approach to making may be imagined and consider how contemporary artists are utilising these strategies in practice to foreground non-dominant histories and narratives.
