Marta Michalowska
Marta Michalowska is a curator, producer, filmmaker and writer based in London. She worked with Theatrum Mundi from 2017 until 2022, most recently in the role of Co-Director. During her time at Theatrum Mundi, she focused on curation of public programmes, commissioning of new writing and publishing, working with research fellows, and developing strategic and operational plans for the organisation. Since 2016, she has been Artistic Director of The Wapping Project, London, where she commissions and produces new works with artists, curates exhibitions and public programmes, and edits publications. Marta has also recently completed her debut novel, Sketching in Ashes, supported by ACE through the Developing Your Creative Practice, and is writing her second, A Tram to the Beach, both exploring contested territories. She is a graduate of BA (hons) Photography at London College of Communication (2007); Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, Warsaw (2009); MRes Art: Artist Moving Image at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London (2013); and Novel Studio at City, University of London (2019).
