Fani Kostourou

Dr Fani Kostourou was Associate Director at Theatrum Mundi leading on Research, Teaching and Creative Development, and Associate Lecturer at UCA Canterbury School of Architecture and UAL Central Saint Martins. Alongside being trained as a pianist, she holds a Diploma (Architecture) from NTU of Athens, an MAS (Urban Design) from ETH Zurich, an MRes (Spatial Design) and a PhD (Architecture and Urban Studies) from UCL Bartlett. Fani specialises in research, curatorial and editorial work, publishes and exhibits internationally on urban design, morphology, computation, critical spatial theories, housing, and urban cultures. She is a Fellow of the UK’s Higher Education Academy and has previously taught at the UCL Bartlett in the UK, the Cardiff University in Wales, and the CANactions School for Urban Studies in Urkaine. In 2017, she was a visiting researcher at the MIT Department of Architecture and Computation and a selected Fellow of the EU-funded Future Architecture Platform.
